Your next step is ready.
Follow the complete written guide below.
The video will join it here when it’s ready.
Before you start
- A verified connection and a practice site.
- EMCP Pro with AI Chat enabled.
- A supported provider account/API key or a reachable supported local runtime.
Let’s do this, step by step.
Step 01
Configure the provider
Open Build → AI Chat → Settings → Providers. For a hosted provider, add its key and click Connect. For a detected Ollama or LM Studio runtime, choose Use this runtime without a key. Use Refresh models and Back to chat.
Open Settings, then Providers. Hosted providers use their own API account, which can cost separately from a chat subscription. A supported local runtime needs no API key. Connect your choice, refresh its models, then return to chat.
Step 02
Start with a read
Choose a model and ask it to identify the site and read the intended draft.
Test a small request first. Available models and features can change, so use the current list rather than an old model name.
Step 03
Open the editor panel
Open an Elementor or Gutenberg draft and use the floating AI Chat panel.
The panel knows the current page, but still ask it to confirm the target. Have it propose one text change before saving.
Step 04
Review tool access and approvals
In Settings, review Tool access by domain and leave Approve destructive actions on under Built-in controls. Review any Approve or Reject prompt before the change runs.
Switch off action groups the chat does not need. These controls are enforced by the server, and tools disabled on the Tools screen stay unavailable. Leave approval for destructive actions on and read each confirmation.
Step 05
Use a reference URL
Supply a public text-page URL if you want the AI to read a reference. Verify what it actually retrieved.
The built-in reader fetches a URL; it does not search the web or run a browser. Private-network pages and unsupported file types may be refused. If a tool budget is reached, wait for its reset rather than retrying rapidly.
Step 06
Review the conversation and its changes
Use Recent chats to return to a conversation. Open Safety → History to inspect its AI Chat session and eligible undo actions.
Each conversation has its own group in History. Use it to inspect what changed. Some actions cannot be undone, so read the individual entry.
You’re done when…
The editor shows the intended saved change and the selected provider is correctly configured.
