Follow the complete written guide below.

Start the written lesson

Before you start

  • A practice site and permission for the task.
  • EMCP Cloud module enabled and a Cloud account.
  • Required artifact tier; paid Cloud plan for Settings Sync.

Let’s do this, step by step.

Step 01

Connect the site

Enable EMCP Cloud in Setup → Modules if needed and Save modules. Open Connection → Cloud. Review Let EMCP Cloud manage this site through the gateway, then Connect to EMCP Cloud.

Open the Cloud section of Connection. Decide whether this site should also allow gateway access, then connect to your account. Saving artifacts and letting agents manage the site are different choices.

Step 02

Save an artifact

In Sandbox, choose a reviewed block, widget, or snippet and use Save to Cloud.

This backs up the reusable artifact. It is not a full backup of the WordPress database and files.

Step 03

Pull onto another site

Open Cloud Library on a connected practice site and import the intended artifact.

The imported copy arrives as an inactive draft. Review its code, dependencies, and settings before activation.

Step 04

Browse the Marketplace

Inspect a listing and install it as an inactive draft. Review before enabling it.

A listing is a starting point, not automatic permission to run it. Check its requirements and test its output.

Step 05

Sync settings deliberately

On Connection → Cloud, use Push settings to cloud on the source and Pull settings from cloud on the receiving site, with an eligible paid Cloud plan. Review the overwrite confirmation and receiving settings.

Push saves the selected settings to your account. Pull replaces those settings on this site. Check tool switches and modules afterward. Provider keys, passwords and Cloud credentials are not included.

Step 06

Publish only when ready

For your own artifact, inspect the public details before using Publish or Push update from Sandbox.

Publishing makes the artifact available to others. Review the package and description separately from saving a private Cloud backup.

You’re done when…

An artifact is backed up and imported successfully, with its activation reviewed.
