EMCP checks tool calls against the connected user’s WordPress permissions. Tool switches provide another control; sensitive writes require opt-in. Permission to make a change does not guarantee that it is the right change.
With direct MCP, your client exchanges requests and results with WordPress. The optional EMCP Cloud gateway also handles those requests and results. Your client may send returned content to its AI provider.

Hands down the best MCP plugin for Elementor I’ve used
I’ve built several websites with EMCP Tools so far, and I can honestly say it’s the best Elementor MCP plugin out there right now. My most recent project says it all. I finished a complete website in just 3 days. Doing the same thing the usual way would easily have taken me at least 20 days. That’s not an exaggeration, and it’s the reason I’m writing this review. I’ve tried a few other options. Most of them either break the layout, give you half-working widgets, or need constant fixing afterwards. EMCP is different. When I ask Claude to build a section, it actually builds it properly inside Elementor, with real containers, widgets, global colors and typography, not some messy HTML block dumped on the page. I can open the page in the Elementor editor afterwards and everything is clean and editable, which matters a lot when you’re handing a site over to a client. It’s not just page building either. Popups, theme templates, menus, media, posts, global classes and variables can all be handled from the same chat. The change history and rollback option has also saved me more than once when I wanted to undo something quickly. If you work with Elementor and want to use AI properly, not as a gimmick, just install this one. Big thanks to the developer for building something this solid. Keep it up!

It connects an AI client to WordPress tools through the Model Context Protocol. EMCP supplies a server and supported tools to build pages and manage content, media, plugins and more. Start with our WordPress MCP guide for the basics and a read-only first task.
Does EMCP require Elementor?
No. The MCP server and general WordPress tools work without Elementor. Page builders, Gutenberg block packs, themes and other plugins have separate integrations. Their availability depends on installed versions, tool enablement and plan. Check the integration catalog for your setup.
Do I need Elementor Pro to use EMCP?
No. The supported free Elementor plugin provides its native free widgets and page-building tools. Elementor Pro is needed only for workflows that depend on its Pro features. EMCP Pro and Elementor Pro are separate products. Check the Elementor integration requirements for the supported editor versions and tool scope.
Which AI clients are supported?
EMCP has guides for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, the ChatGPT desktop app, Cursor, VS Code, Antigravity and other clients. Match the transport, authentication and account requirements to the application you use. Direct connections work with EMCP Free; your AI client’s plan and workspace policies are separate. See the client setup guides.
Is my WordPress site secure if I let an AI agent edit pages?
EMCP checks tool calls against the connected WordPress user’s capabilities and enabled tools. That limits access, but an authorized change can still be wrong. Start with reads, use staging and drafts where supported, and keep backups. EMCP OAuth approval requires administrator-level access by default; use an appropriate credential-based connection for a dedicated user. Read the permissions and security guide.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes up to 244 MCP tools, all MCP clients, Atomic Elements support for Elementor 4.0+, Compact tool mode, and 5 sample prompts. Pro adds the full 578-tool set, the 100-prompt library for landing pages and complete websites (auto-synced to your site), exclusive Elementor page templates, and priority ticket support via our support portal.
I'm using Antigravity or another client with a 100-tool limit.
A full 578-tool install is over that cap. Flip on Compact tool mode on the plugin's Tools page. It collapses the whole surface to just 3 dispatcher tools (
list-tools, get-tool-schema, call-tool) so the agent can still reach every tool by name, and your per-tool toggles still apply to what it may run.Do I keep access if my subscription ends?
The plugin keeps working on the free version. Pro tools, premium prompts and templates stop working when an annual license expires. Renew anytime to switch them back on. Lifetime licenses never expire.

Where does my data go?
WordPress runs the tools, and your AI client receives their results. The client may send returned content to its model provider. Direct MCP does not require an EMCP hosted gateway; the optional Cloud gateway also handles requests and results. Cloud backup and marketplace workflows involve separate uploads. Can I manage several sites from one AI connection?
Yes, through the optional EMCP Cloud gateway for connected sites. Confirm the target site before each task and review the enabled tools and acting identity. Direct connections to individual sites remain available without a Cloud subscription. Hosted services have their own plans and limits.
How is EMCP different from the WordPress MCP Adapter?
The Adapter bridges registered WordPress abilities to MCP. EMCP builds on that foundation and supplies tools, supported integrations and workflows for site work. The Adapter is bundled with EMCP. Read WordPress MCP Adapter vs EMCP for the distinction.
