Follow the complete written guide below.
The video will join it here when it’s ready.
Before you start
- EMCP Pro 3.19.0+, TablePress active and a user with the required TablePress permissions.
- A small practice data set and a draft Elementor or Gutenberg page.
Let’s do this, step by step.
Step 01
Enable the integration
Open Setup → Tools → Plugins → TablePress. Check read access, enable TablePress Write, Save changes and reconnect. Inspect existing tables before creating another.
Check for an existing table first. Enable the write tool and save. Use a small set of practice data so you can verify every cell.
Step 02
Create or import one table
Use create-table with a name and rows; the first row is the header by default. Or import one supported CSV, HTML, JSON, XLSX or ODS file as a new table. Review replace or append modes separately.
Give the table a clear name and check the header row. If importing, start with a new table. Replacing or appending to an existing table needs a separate check of the target.
Create a TablePress practice table with columns Service and Duration and two supplied sample rows. Show the proposed cells first, then render the saved table. Do not replace any existing table.
Step 03
Read and edit a cell
Read the saved table and its version. Use edit-cells for a reviewed change; row and column numbering starts at one. Re-read if a newer edit causes a conflict.
Read the table before editing. Rows and columns start at one. Change the intended cell, then check the saved value. If the table changed meanwhile, read it again.
Step 04
Render and place on a draft
Use render-table to inspect the visitor output and formulas. Use place-table with the intended draft: TablePress widget for Elementor, block for other pages.
Preview the actual table, including any formula results. Place it on the chosen draft and inspect it in the page editor.
Step 05
Check and export
Check headings, mobile layout, sorting and any enabled search. Export CSV, HTML or JSON when needed, and inspect the change’s History entry.
Check the table at phone width and test the controls you enabled. Keep an export when useful. History records supported table changes, but review any conflict before undoing.
You’re done when…
The saved cells match the source and the table is usable on the intended draft.
