The practical difference
Novamira gives technical users a programmable WordPress environment, with Pro specializations for builders and plugins. EMCP combines named builder tools with WordPress operations. Choose by the tasks your agent should perform and the permissions you want to grant.
EMCP Pro and EMCP Cloud are separate products. Builder and plugin features also depend on what is installed on your site. Hosted fleet automation, bulk enrollment and managed configuration currently have restricted pilot access.

What matters
EMCP ToolsFree, Pro and optional Cloud
NovamiraCurrent vendor documentation
Connection
Connect directly to your WordPress MCP server through OAuth, an Application Password or a local WP-CLI bridge. [4]
Direct site connection through OAuth or an Application Password; a CLI route is also documented. [2]
Builder workflows
Elementor (classic and atomic) and Gutenberg with five block packs, plus 12 standalone builder integrations. One standalone builder is active at a time; availability depends on the installed builder and edition. [5]
Free core uses general abilities. Pro adds specializations for 53 builders and plugins, including Elementor, Bricks, Divi 5 and Oxygen 6. [3]
WordPress scope
WordPress content, media, users, plugins and site operations, alongside builder-specific tools. [6]
PHP execution and filesystem abilities provide programmatic access to WordPress. [1]
Working environment
Choose enabled tools and user capabilities for your site. Test sensitive writes on staging first. [7]
The vendor describes a development and staging scope, including for Pro. [3]
Access model
WordPress capability checks, per-tool switches, confirmation for destructive tools and a management access list for who can configure EMCP. [7]
OAuth sign-in or a WordPress Application Password; the client connects to the site directly. [2]
Project knowledge
Context, prompts, brand kits and Agent Skills support repeatable workflows. Some runtime features require Pro. [8]
Pro adds memory between sessions and builder/plugin specializations. [3]
Product cost
Free plugin, optional EMCP Pro license and separate optional Cloud plans. Your AI provider and third-party plugin licenses are separate. [9]
Free core plugin. Pro is €49 a year for 3 sites, €149 a year for 1,000 sites or €299 lifetime. AI service costs are separate. [3]
This is a documentation comparison, not a hands-on benchmark. Broad code or API access may support work beyond a dedicated tool. No tool-count score or unverified performance claim determines a winner.
Look a little closer
Differences to check before choosing.
Start with the level of access your agent needs
Novamira’s getting-started guide centers on PHP execution, file operations and technical work in development or staging. That is a useful fit for debugging and custom implementation. Evaluate those abilities against the exact access you are willing to grant your agent.
Novamira Pro adds memory and builder-specific expertise. EMCP exposes named operations for tasks such as discovering Elementor widgets, inspecting controls and updating elements. Compare how each approach handles one of your real layouts, including its native editor structure.
A small test tells you more than matching tool names or counting integrations.

Read
“List my five most recent pages with their status and last edited date. Do not change anything.”
Shows whether each product can read your site accurately, without writing.
Build
“Build a landing page for a cooking school’s autumn workshop: a hero with a booking button, three benefits, and an FAQ with three questions. Leave it as a draft.”
Shows how each product builds a page you can still edit in your builder.
Then check these on both
1Step 1
Inspect the same staging page and identify its builder and version.
2Step 2
Change one element and confirm the result remains editable in the native editor.
3Step 3
Compare the required permissions, debugging steps and recovery path.
Use comparable permissions and installed plugin versions. Check the editor, rendered result and recovery behavior before making the same change on a live site.
Common questions
About EMCP vs Novamira.
Does Novamira require a hosted relay?
Its connection guide describes direct client-to-site connections using OAuth or Application Passwords. EMCP also supports direct site connections; its hosted multi-site Gateway is an optional, separate Cloud service. Read the source.
Is Novamira only a generic PHP tool?
No. Its Free core includes general WordPress abilities, while Novamira Pro adds memory and documented specializations for builders and plugins. Those editions should be evaluated separately. Read the source.
Does either plugin include my AI subscription?
Treat the connector, premium WordPress extensions and model-provider usage as separate purchases. EMCP Free lets you evaluate core tools before deciding whether you need Pro or Cloud.
Try one task first
