What the All in One SEO integration does

All in One SEO (AIOSEO) is the beginner-friendly heavyweight, wizard-driven setup and a clean UI make it a common first choice. Under the hood it stores SEO in its own database table through a model, and EMCP reads and writes a post's SEO through that model, so nothing is bypassed.

Your AI can set the SEO title and meta description, control robots and canonical, set the Open Graph and Twitter fields, inspect the structured-data schema AIOSEO builds, and read the search-appearance settings, turning "make this page rank-ready" into a single instruction.

What your AI can do

Once All in One SEO is active, ask any MCP client, Claude, Cursor, or your own, to do these in plain language.

Example prompts

Real instructions you can hand your agent for All in One SEO.

"Set an SEO title and meta description on this landing page and make it indexable."

"Set a custom social image for this post's Open Graph and Twitter cards."

"Show me the schema All in One SEO outputs for this page."

Under the hood

Read, then rewrite a page's SEO, how EMCP drives All in One SEO.

aioseo-read({ operation: "get-post-seo", arguments: { post_id: 42 } })

aioseo-write({ operation: "update-post-seo", arguments: {
  post_id: 42,
title: "Best Ergonomic Chairs (2026), Tested & Ranked",
description: "Our team tested 30 ergonomic office chairs…",
  noindex: false
} })

Note: All in One SEO 4.9 exposes no term-SEO model, so this integration covers post SEO plus schema-read. Pro EMCP integration.

Frequently asked

Does this change how All in One SEO works on my site?

No. EMCP reads and writes the exact same post and term metadata All in One SEO already stores, using the standard WordPress meta and options. Your front-end output, sitemaps, and settings behave exactly as before, the AI is just another way to read and set the same values you'd edit in the All in One SEO box.

Can it edit category and tag SEO too?

This integration focuses on post and page SEO. Term-level SEO for categories and tags is available on the SEO plugins that expose it, see the SEO domain overview for the per-plugin support matrix.

Is it safe to let an AI change my SEO titles?

Yes, and you stay in control. The read tool is enabled by default; the write tool ships disabled until you turn it on under EMCP Tools → Tools → Plugins → SEO. Writes only touch the fields you pass, everything else is left untouched, and every change is a normal post/term meta update you can revert.
