Global Settings
These tools modify the active Elementor kit, the same object you’d edit through Elementor → Site Settings. Changes propagate everywhere the kit is referenced (every container, every widget, every theme template).
Both require manage_options. Both are on by default; their switches are in the Global Settings section of the Elementor tab on EMCP Tools → Tools, which appears while Elementor is the builder selected on EMCP Tools → Page Builders. Every write is recorded in EMCP Tools → History, where you can undo it.
emcp-tools/update-global-colors
Section titled “emcp-tools/update-global-colors”Adds or updates entries in the kit’s custom color palette, matched by _id. Colors you don’t send are kept.
Input:
colors: array of{ _id, title, color }(hex)
The four system colors primary, secondary, text and accent are reserved and refused here (reserved_color_id). Change them with the Pro replace-system-colors tool or in Elementor’s Site Settings. Widgets reference a custom color by its id, for example globals/colors?id=brand.
Returns: { success: true, target: "custom_colors", written: [...] }.
Example:
{ "colors": [ { "_id": "brand", "title": "Brand", "color": "#2C1810" }, { "_id": "brand_soft", "title": "Brand soft", "color": "#D4A574" } ]}emcp-tools/update-global-typography
Section titled “emcp-tools/update-global-typography”Adds or updates entries in the kit’s custom typography presets, matched by _id. Presets you don’t send are kept. The system presets (primary, secondary, text, accent) are changed with the Pro replace-system-typography tool.
Input:
typography: array of typography definitions, each requiring_idandtitle
Unlike the colors tool, each field is flat on the item itself (Elementor’s own storage shape), prefixed typography_: typography_font_family, typography_font_weight, and a { size, unit } object for every size-based field: typography_font_size, typography_line_height, typography_letter_spacing, typography_word_spacing.
Since v3.14.1, each of those four size fields also has independent _tablet and _mobile variants (typography_font_size_tablet, typography_font_size_mobile, and so on for line height, letter spacing, and word spacing), so you can set a breakpoint’s value without touching the others; unset fields fall back to Elementor’s own responsive inheritance.
Returns: { success: true }.
Example:
{ "typography": [ { "_id": "headings", "title": "Headings", "typography_font_family": "Playfair Display", "typography_font_weight": "700", "typography_line_height": { "size": 1.15, "unit": "em" }, "typography_font_size_mobile": { "size": 32, "unit": "px" } } ]}When prompting an AI to build a branded page, ask it to set globals first and then build the layout. Widgets that reference a global color (for example globals/colors?id=brand) will respect whatever you just set, so the brand stays consistent across every section without repeating color values in every widget.
